IAN RANKIN Doors Open ***(*)

This is Ian Rankin's first post-Rebus novel.

But it is, of course, still set in Edinburgh and is again a crime novel. It's really good fun.

It's about a rich art-loving young-ish businessman with time on his hands. So with some friends he decides to steal some of their favourite paintings from the storage warehouse of the National Gallery of Scotland and replace them with fakes.

All goes swimmingly at first and then things start getting somewhat out of hand...
