I read that the BBC were disappointed with this series, and daren't let it go head to head with Channel 4's 'Elizabeth 1' with Helen Mirren. But we thought it was great (apart from the embarrassingly uncrowded crowd scenes) and Anne-Marie Duff pretty amazing.

ReplyDeleteI thought it was good - Anne Marie Duff was excellent. But it seemed to log the same events as Helen Mirren's so you felt you had seen it before from a different angle.
