We could be a tad biased here, as 6 Day Riot is the band in which Rachel's nephew, Edd, plays double bass. But we think this is great. Go out and buy it (or download it).It was officially launched with a gig at the Jazz Cafe in Camden a couple of weeks ago, to which we went. It was really good fun - even if it did make us feel as if we were about a hundred years old!
According to Amazon, "The 6 Day Riot sound simply defies being pigeon-holed, straddling folk, pop and indie genres with aplomb. Alternately rousing, contemplative, celebratory and epic, and always utterly distinctive." And who are we to argue with that.
