SEBASTIAN BARRY A long long way **

I gave up on this half-way through. Life's too short to spend on books you can't get on with.

It's a First World War story about an Irishman fighting in the trenches and getting caught up in the Easter Rising as well.

I couldn't cope with Sebastian Barry's poetic style. There were times when I felt he was more in love with the language than the story.
