FIVE DAYS ****(*)

One of the best drama serials, let alone crime dramas, I've seen on TV for ages, with real characters you can identify with.

It takes place on five different days in a six-week investigation into the disappearance of a young mother and her two youngest children.

We see how it is impacting on the woman's husband and daughter, her parents and grandfather, the police (detectives, family support officer, and press officer) and the suspects. You can feel for all of them.

The viewer is given no more information than the characters had at the time, and we found it utterly compelling, mostly very truthful, and desperately sad.

The acting is superb - especially from David Oyelowo (above) as the father.
